Volunteer With Us
Rock On Collective is able to run its programs thanks to a group of people volunteering their time to make the outdoors a more accessible and equitable space. Our small team is always on the lookout for more diverse voices and people with different skills and backgrounds to join us.
What do we need help with?
Apart from experienced climbers signing up as mentors, the organizing team could use a hand with a little bit of everything! Crushing grant applications, fundraising, building partnerships with like-minded organizations, organizing events… you name it! Or maybe you’re a certified climbing guide willing to offer your services? We are all about inclusion and equity in the Okanagan climbing community, so if you’re nodding along and excited to make that happen too, let’s chat! Whatever you rock at, we’re all ears.
Specific roles for which we are currently looking for help:
Grant and Sponsorship Manager
Are you passionate about making the outdoors more accessible to a diverse range of people? Would you like to use your skills to make a serious impact in the programming we can offer? Help write and review grant applications, develop sponsorship packages and outreach to potential program sponsors.
To apply, send an email to info@rockoncollective.com with a short note about who you are and what interests you with this role.
Why volunteer with Rock On Collective?
You'll make new connections, work with fellow climbing enthusiasts who share your love for the great outdoors and gain a variety of organizational skills while helping to grow a newborn non-profit organization! Plus, you'll be part of a vibrant movement to make the outdoors a more equitable place, embracing inclusivity and reciprocity with every step.
You can see our mentor and mentee testimonials here.
If you are passionate about what we do and would like to help out, please reach out to us via our Contact Us page or email us at info@rockoncollective.com. All of our volunteers must complete an interview.
If you’re looking to volunteer as a climbing mentor, see our Application Page.

Spread the word!
You may help by telling people about us and encouraging them to apply to the program. Especially if you know someone who would be a good fit as a mentor, send them our way!
Follow us on social media!
We are just starting up and have a small platform but the more we grow, the better chances of receiving grants and other support in the future. Follow us on Instagram @rock.on.collective!
Donate!
If you have the means and would like to contribute financially, we accept donations with enthusiasm and gratitude. Please note we are not a registered charity and won’t be able to give a tax receipt. You can find our donation form here.
If you enjoy climbing in Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park, also consider donating to the Skaha Climbers Anchor Repair Society (SCARS) and the Skaha Bluffs Park Watch Society. That will help keep climbing safer through property/route maintenance and replacement of old hardware.
What else can I do?
